BEGINNER FENCING
The BBF beginner class instructs prospective fencers in a comprehensive understanding of the basics of foil fencing. Fencers are instructed both in the knowledge of fencing terms and phrases as well as traditional, classical fencing maneuvers and techniques. The beginner class is designed to introduce novices to the art and science of fencing and to produce competent fencers who are ready to begin advanced lessons and fencing in competitions. Beginner classes meet one time per week for one hour over four months. BBF begins a new beginner fencing class three times each year (January, May and September).

INTERMEDIATE FOIL
Available with Deckhand or QuarterMaster Membership levels. BBF offers intermediate foil classes for fencers of all ages who would like to improve their technical skills and grow beyond that of a novice fencer. Classes begin with cardio and footwork, followed with technical lessons in bladework drills and foil tactics. Fencing is a sport that participants may compete in for life. Competing is highly encouraged and there are many beginner level tournaments available both locally and regionally. Further competition hones the skills and techniques learned in the classroom. Our classes run all year round for continued advancement, improvement and technical expertise for all levels of fencing.
YOUTH INTERMEDIATE SABER
Available with Deckhand or QuarterMaster Membership levels. BBF offers intermediate saber classes for fencers of all ages who would like to improve their technical skills and grow beyond that of a novice fencer. BBF CLUB NIGHT
Electric Practice Fencing.
BBF Club Nights are an open house format designed to allow experienced and intermediate fencers alike to grow and expand their skill levels against a wide variety of fencers and fencing skills. Club nights are open to drop in and fence, regardless of enrollment in the BBF School. Electric fencing strips are available for all fencing levels and weapons. Spare equipment may be provided for anyone who needs it and would like to fence.
